Been working on titles for the five books in the series to-date.  Here's what it looks like:

1.  Trident's Flame (NavPress, 2012)
2.  Sanctum Threat (coming in late 2012-early 2013)
3.  Choke Point (coming in early 2013)
4.  Force Multiplier (due in mid 2013)
5.  Bone Breaker (due later in 2013)

Still contemplating the avenues for publication.

Trident's Flame will be out in hard copy this next month, so interested readers can get access to ebook or paperbacks as they wish (a welcome change).

I am seriously considering self-publishing the remainder, having the artwork done by a local graphic artist, printing through a POD agency, and marketing the same way that any modern publishing house does.

The modern publishing industry no longer does active marketing unless you are a J.K. Rowling or other guaranteed seller.  It's funny, actually, because they tend to use the language of marketing and promotion in all their query-submission material, as if by allowing them to publish you suddenly gain a significant investment in marketing your book.  No.  It's do-it-yourself these days.  So we must adjust to the climate.

    Just finished Sanctum Threat last night!

    I'm so pleased, and relieved... now comes the work of editing.

    The fun discovery has been that Sanctum Threat and Choke Point will be joined stories, one being the direct sequel of the other. It wasn't entirely planned that way, it just grew as I wrote it. The size of the novel became overly cumbersome, and it made sense to create distinct but connected adventures.

    Force Multiplier, book 3, occurs later in time (the same year). The story begins in Monterey, California, where Jake lives, and then moves to French Polynesia.
