Been considering a story concept for Jake Sloan that involves tigers... he engages a tiger up close, and bears the scars from the experience... the story would explore the themes of evil in the world and what to do about it, how the Christian faces such issues, and the critical point in a person's childhood when their understanding of evil goes beyond an imagined "boogeyman."

William Blake had something to say about tigers... and evil. and the Omnipotent God who created tigers.

His last stanza reads:

Tyger Tyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

It is said that the poem reflects the awesomeness of the One who created the tiger... hinting at the unapproachable holiness of a God who can and does administer justice with the definitiveness of a tiger crushing its prey.
