Exciting, engaging, and entertaining novel, December 10, 2012

By Diane Boynton

This review is from: Trident's Flame: A Jake Sloan Adventure (Kindle Edition)

I found Trident's Flame a great read. I appreciated the novel's winsome and intelligent characters, fascinating locations, and captivating writing style. But wait--there's more! Suspense, action, romance, and a touch of Christian faith engaged me until the very end of the book. Can't wait to read what Fox has in store for the Sloan family... and Trident's Flame readers! I see a sequel on the horizon...

Are you searching for a blast of excitement to fill those long hours on a trip? Are you a teenager, frustrated in your search for books that don't compromise virtue for action? Planning to start another family read? Trident's Flame is an action-packed story with a "boatload" of romance and a solid 'good beats evil' basis. It is a romaction novelty by Christian author Dan S. Fox that will keep you turning it's pages!

Safe sailing!

Great read with refreshing perspective!, August 3, 2012

This review is from: Trident's Flame: A Jake Sloan Adventure (Kindle Edition)

As a Christian who loves the action and adventure genre, I was thrilled with Trident's Flame. Fox's realistic and descriptive hand to hand combat had me feeling and delivering every blow.
The Sloans remind me of the very few real Christian men I know who follow Christ without checking their masculinity at the door.

I particularly appreciated Trident's perspective on romance and dating. While most stories would have characters slide in and out of quick and easy one-nighters or abruptly ended relationships, Trident's Flame has characters wisely seeking counsel, honestly examining feelings and praying for direction before pursuing romance. This is an approach to relationships which is sorely needed in today's culture (Christian or otherwise).

The action, adventure and romance are wonderfully packaged in a story full of intrigue, depth and mystery!

Read it! Then, share it with your kids as a way of starting a discussion about dating, purity and the pursuit of wisdom!

I'll Take Action, Adventure, with a Twist of Romance!, August 2, 2012

By Victoria Lords

This review is from: Trident's Flame: A Jake Sloan Adventure (Kindle Edition)

As a mother of teenagers I found it refreshing to read a book that inspires, encourages, and represents teens as responsible and thoughtful young adults. I would definitely recommend this book to those who enjoy the action/adventure/romance genres. As the story unfolded I found myself immersed in an adventure that kept me intrigued until the last chapter; so much so that I am eagerly waiting for the next book. Dr. Fox's superb writing enabled me to envision the action sequences in my mind's eye. I often felt as if I were "watching" a movie as I read the book! The story-line is filled with exciting adventure tinged with a hint of romance. Young Jake Sloan's adventurous spirit, fearless perseverance, and exceptional character make him a great role model for today's youth.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Trident's Flame! The book is fast paced and full of adventure, danger, romance and suspense. Jake and Charlie are engaging, fun, yet down to earth characters who I felt an immediate connection with. The author did a great job of drawing me in, and by the last page left me hoping for a sequel! I can't wait to read more!

This review is from: Trident's Flame: A Jake Sloan Adventure (Kindle Edition)

I just finished reading this book a couple of days ago and it was great. I particularly enjoyed the action scenes where Jake used his surroundings to gain an advantage. The book takes you down many twists and turns, just when you think it is over you are thrown into a crazy action scene where the characters fight for their lives. Trident's Flame was captivating, fun, energetic, and a must read!

Great adventure book!, July 3, 2012

Trident's Flame was a great read. I was quickly drawn in by the adventure of the book, but was particularly enamored with the main characters, Jake and Charlie. They are heroic and yet familiarly human! Thought provoking as the characters wrestle with both human drama and danger. Hoping there is a book 2 and 3, even 4!
